Meet Dr Giulia Ceccatelli (Chiropractor)
Giulia didn’t know much about chiropractic until the year before she started university. At the time she was working with horses as a professional rider. She discovered chiropractic because there was a horse that was struggling with turning his head to the right when it was ridden. “We used to spend hours trying to get this horse to relax and bend his neck to one side but he would refuse to and resist.”
“We all thought the horse was being stubborn. Then a chiropractor came to the yard to treat some horses including this one. I rode this horse after a couple of days and when I asked him to turn the head to one side, he did it without any problems.”
For Giulia that was a revelation. She realised that it wasn’t that the horse didn’t want to turn his head but it couldn’t do so because he was in pain. “Of course animals are not able to tell us that something hurts. They just start behaving differently and begin to refuse to do things,” said Giulia.
That experience opened up Giulia’s eyes and she discovered that she would love to be able to help animals that way. “Horses are what brought me into chiropractic and then I fell in love with the profession on all aspects, helping people and animals thrive is what drives me every day.”
So Giulia decided to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. She went to university and decided to learned how to adjust people and animals.

Prioritising Other Healthy Habits
I’ve learned to respect my body better and recognise the importance of nutrition and how eating whole foods has many benefits; it promotes health, helps with weight loss and can decrease inflammation in the body.”
Giulia also knows how vital getting sufficient, restorative sleep is in terms of health and wellbeing.
“It’s also important to be able to deal with stress whether it’s going for a walk, meditating or doing physical exercise.”
Because she is particularly passionate about nutrition and exercise, Giulia always tries to give her patients advice on nutrition and can offer guidance about beneficial forms of exercises and stretches.
Enjoying Life in Wantage
When she’s not at her clinic, Giulia of course loves riding horses and participating in competitions with her horse. She also enjoys fitness and going on runs and taking walks with friends and just being out in nature.
When things open again, Giulia looks forward to going back to the theatre and seeing some shows. She also enjoys dancing, particularly salsa dancing in the evenings when she’s not working. Listening to Jay Shetty podcasts is another of Giulia’s favourite things to do. ??Book an Appointment
